Why did no other studio challenge the Dynasty Warriors formula? Only Mount&Blade does and it's quite a different game overall. 2 large "medieval" armies fighting with the player just being a soldier on the battlefield feels like something that on paper should be a popular niche, but in 25 years there's basically only DW (and its spin-offs) and M&B.

Modern games cannot sustain 30 fps when there are more than 5 people on the screen.
