I do not understand this. How is it that the game has had virtually no increase in visual or audio fidelity? I mean it looks a bit better, but I just don't get it. It still has mediocre music, terrible sound design, no voice acting, paper doll style animations, etc.
Is the game fun? Yeah. The gameplay is still good and it basically is just MT1 with more shit which is mostly what you want but I would have also liked to not feel like I am playing a glorified flash game in the year of allah 2010+10+5+tip

Anyways, Monster Train 2, talk about your favorite clan combos, equipment, talk shit about the bosses, and about how much you wanna fuck the dragon or some shit.

I'm going to slow down on doing the Cov 10 Titan runs until the DLC releases. 100/180 here. I should probably do the Awoken ones while Razorsharp Edge can still one-shot titans before it gets fixed.

Around 90 and kind of losing steam. I've taken way too long (no restarts is my excuse). My biggest criticism of the game is unit-based strategies seem way more consistent and braindead than anything relying on spells. Why hope you draw a certain spell when you can just set up test subject alpha and kill everything?

Fuck Pyreblooded, unironically took me 10 hours to master that piece of shit. So many times I drafted him, and so many times I lost.

if your wondering why its because this was primarily made as something safer to re-coop costs after Inkbound somewhat flopped which was was a massive leap forward for the studio from Monster Train 1 in terms of cost and ambition.
Imagine going from paper doll shit in MH 1 to literally making a full 3d MMO/Roguelike of sorts in Inkbound.

When they work, spells work really well. If anything though they are overkill in the sense that it's not worth it going for some insane combo when you can do a simple reliable one that gets the job done.

Luna Coven feels like the weakest new clan to me, it's like building exodia, when it works it's great, but what's the point of messing with mooncycle and everything when other clans work just as well without so much effort?

Fuck off, retard. MT2 doesn't have twice the content of 1 to justify the complete stagnation of the art and ESPECIALLY the sfx. The sound design is awful. I'm not saying to change the game like DD2 did (even though I still like DD2) nor am I saying it needs to have art/animations matching DD2. But it is not expensive to hire some fucking voice actors off of twitter or at least not use the same generic flame.wav for everything. The presentation sucks.

idk why, but once I did all the heart unlocks and got to the point where you can actually start going after the titans, I just lost all interest in the game.
I still had half the alt champions on the old clans to unlock, but man I just don't care... The clan unlocks for the alt champions. I don't give a fuck about Lazarus or Hornbreakers, but gotta play them and that shit just burns me out.

Biggest protips for ELITE gamers only:
1. Learn what you need for each boss, particularly for covenant 10. For savagery: beefy units or a way to kill the backline sweepers, for entropy, a room of silence destroys it, or strong spells to snipe the silencers, for dominion chump blockers or daze / mute.
2. Upgrade your shit. It's better to take a non-ideal upgrade in lots of cases rather than waiting for the perfect one to come later. Especially goes for non-crucial units or ones you have spares of.
3. Think a lot about which floor you want to set up on. If there is an invasion trial and Rax the overblessed is the boss, watch the fuck out. Don't get baited into going top floor.

I can't find any success with melting remnant, I don't think I've cleared a single run with them and every card they have feels like a dead draw

I've found great success with the Wickless Baron unit. Give him multistrike and place him on the killing floor and he will scale to beat every boss. Rector Flicker's Dark Calling path also gives you two guaranteed reforms every turn to play into the harvest angle. Little Fade is hard to play though, I still haven't figured her out.

Should I be putting my leader on the bottom floor? I just kind of stack the bottom floor and try to use the other floors to clean up but I think I may be doing it backwards and should try to weaken with the first two and kill with the 3rd floor?

Assuming you're playing them as primary, always check the forge first, and see which Rector Flicker will work with your starting randoms. When in doubt, always pick the Reform path, then Harvest, then Burnout. Reforming is MR's main way of scaling and gives you an infinite number of bodies, so a guaranteed two reforms every turn can almost always win you the run. MR is even more broken in MT2 because activated abilities reset when you reform them, so a clan like Pyreborne which has units like Hot Head and Gildmonger has become MR's best friend. Getting the collectors is also going to be hard depending on your secondary clan, so grab a unit that can make gold and carry it until the end.
