only after the game was released, the director decided to retcon the main character as a male pretending to be female

it's a great game, arguably better than super meat boy, but the portrait art is godawful and the creator's tranny self-insert retcons did their best to soil the game's legacy
also the wavedashing mechanic for the farewell stage was pretty cancer
