My 7900XTX purchase for a mere $800 late last year feels more and more vindicated as time goes on. Can't wait to see the 5080 super refresh retailing for over $2000, and the 5070ti super going for $1400.
PC gaming as a hobby is relatively cheap, but that doesn't mean you're not overpaying when you buy nVidia now.

I used a 3090 on an 8k screen. It could run Forza and some older games at 8k no problem

Donโ€™t worry, if Unreal Engine 5.5 is anything to go by then Nvidia is going full throttle on the sabotage strategy again.
Green sisters will win again, in UE 5 sloppa.

Dude, the 6090 or whatever it's going to be called is going to be $2500-3000 bare minimum MSRP, and won't be available online anywhere for less than $4,000 and more like $4,500-5,000. I wouldn't be surprised if they find an even shittier, more unsafe power delivery method too, so they can save $0.78 per GPU instead of using the standard we've had.
