hah... my entire department almost got outsourced. But they changed their mind on the very last day when were were all suppose to be fried. The president said fuck no after hearing how poorly the Indians were doing their jobs. It appears most callers can't fucking understand what the indians are saying. They were so bad at their jobs that getting a password change is basically a 2 hour call with indians.

The people they hired to downsize the company haven't given up. They're harrassing us by getting rid of our assigned seats. They got rid of half the seats in the office to put some bullshit office space table and a few chairs. Lots of people that were in high position got kicked out of their office space and forced to take a cubicle. Then the rest of the seats are now labeled "flex space" seats. Basically first come first serve. But we all see this shit as harrassment.

Entire company is basically rebelling by working from home and not coming into the office. I only go in once a week these days to see if anything needs to be done in office. They can't fire us because they already fired everyone expendible and the rest of us are a skeleton crew that are manditory to get shit done.

They already made a contract with the indians so they can't back out of that. So the Indians get to do jack shit while we do the real work. Everything is a fucking mess.

Philosophy tends to be an amplifier degrees. It teaches you how to ask questions and analyze things more carefully. An example being a lot of the youtube political slop content being very surface depth compared to some of the extremely esoteric things I learned in my fourth year.

Another answer: Politics, religion, and law being major ones. A noteworthy amount of politicians have philosophy degrees.
