If it goes well, you either:
> have a small game that's worth sharing on its own.> have the foundations for a larger game, one step closer to your dream game.If it goes badly, you've figured out the idea doesn't work without wasting 10 years building your uber-game on a bad foundation.
It's not easy, but it's gotten me a lot closer to making the games I want to make.
