I had a friend who had a pair of these way back in 2006 and we used to sit in front of his giant tv and play Halo 2 on legendary for hours afters school until his dad got home from work and i had to leave. His dad made up a story about me stealing games from his son and forbid me from hanging out at his house because I was an annoying little faggot. Chairs are kind of cool, too.

Had one, it was extremely uncomfortable. They rock too much and too easily, and require physical exertion to both stay still and stay upright at a comfortable angle. I had one as a kid, and I’ll echo what everyone else says that they’re uncomfy meme chairs. If you want to sit on the floor, get a beanbag. If you want to sit on a chair, get an adjustable recliner.

I've had this chair for about 20 years now and its padding has held up really nicely.
Only thing that's gone wrong with it is the gastube whatever thing that lifts the chair up and down is a little harder to lift and one of arm rest's vinyl started to peel.

I replaced the vinyl on the armwrests with lambskin (using only glue, plus the clamps the armrests were already using) and while i was at it, also changed the gel to foam. Super soft and comfy now, for only $20.
The gas tube thing can be refilled, but i haven't done that yet, because it's not really a problem, just stiff.

The chair goes for $1500, but you can find them secondhand for like $100-500. Very much worth the money, not because it lasts forever, but because it's comfortable too.

i used one for like 6 years and the round pedestal on the bottom broke a few months ago. i lost the cord immediately after getting it but i threw away the base and now it just sits in my room. i really liked it but you need a thick blanket or you can't sit on your feet. thank you for reading.

No. It is the same with all ergonomic meme chairs that are not traditional design. Corrective chairs alter your posture but you adapt to it and it becomes worse. Traditional chairs and universally better and a slight tilt backwards to take pressure off your back is really all you need.

I had one when I was little, I liked it but the cushioning wore out and the wood frame started poking through it, mainly around the part that it hinges for storage.

I've thought about trying to make a custom one as some kind of amateur woodworking project but I wouldn't begin to know how to go about upholstering it myself.

Upholstery is crazy easy to do if you do it simply. I changed my arm rest's pads from vinyl and gel to sheepskin and foam in about 10 minutes. Only took some glue a screw driver. I bought the sheepskin for like $20 and it's super fucking soft and smooth.

I bought enough material to cover the entire seat twice over, because supposedly sheepskin is delicate and wears out fast, but it's still fine 5 years later. I guess for leather, if something wears out in less than 10 years, that's fast wearing.

I think using leather is easier than fabric, because with leather, it's way more basic and stitching doesn't need to be as fine. ... if you use any stitching at all. Obviously, something that's stitched will stay together longer.

The problem was when they expanded the cast, the moose, the bunny/hedgehog/skunk, the candy guy, the scientist and the dancing bear were peak but then they started inflating the show with a bunch of one note characters like the army guy or the one without arms or the father and son and those characters weren't funny and everything that happened to them was there to add even more violence to the show so it was in poor taste it's the difference between a final destination movie, a cheap but fun experience and one of the last saw movies thats just sadistic gore porn
