>>714816887>Praise this game without being ironic, goThe theme of connecting and helping people is legitimately pretty heartwarming, it kind of makes you realize just how focused modern media is on violence and cynicism, it's optimistic in a way most things aren't anymore.
The gameplay is unironically fun, planning routes and seeing just how many deliveries you can handle at once triggers that "just one more thing" feel where you might bite off more than you can chew. Building infrastructure and making the world more efficient tickles the autism bone in a satisfying way. The big Open World actually feels justified because terrain and weather is an actual part of the gameplay, which makes moving from point A to B much more fun and memorable.
Game is legit gorgerous, both technically and artistically, beautiful vistas, Shinkawa's designs are badass and cool as always. The soundtrack is awesome (even though I prefer DS1's). The polish of KJP games really can't be denied, it might be shallow to just praise something for its production values, but I would be lying if I didn't say they play a huge part in making trekking across the world more enjoyable.
Yes, it's pretty much an AAA arthoe game, but in the best possible way. My only real big issue with the game is that it just too easy, I think it really needs a Very Hard mode with more limited resources.
