T*dd and Em*l did a good job designing the T-45 and laser rifle. But…. my only small complaint is the introduction of unnecessary prequelite lore to pre war power armor while simultaneously making it standard issue to the BoS without explanation. They did it twice. Bigger complaints? The settlement system that’s just there for show and doesn’t do shit for the story. You can customize your Minutemen all you want but they’ll still appear in patrols & quests wearing their shite gear. At least Fallout 3&4 are fun loot shooters though

The T-60 didn't even need to be pre-war. It could have been explained away logically as the WC Brotherhood upgrading their T-45 fleet with the remnants of Enclave tech from the destroyed Adams Air Force Base. Forcing it into the pre-war setting was just asinine. Fallout 4 is rife with these lore and story tidbits that are like 1-2 sentences away from being perfectly logical, but instead are written in a really fucking stupid manner.

Likewise, the primary reason the Brotherhood should have despised the Institute is, after you steal data with the holotape and find out what they're working on, the Brotherhood discovers extensive research by the Institute into FEV, and that they're the ones responsible for the endless super mutants everywhere. But no, this is never brought up in the context of a conflict.

Yup.

Yupppppppp. Don’t even get me started on the unnecessary addition of super mutants to FO3/FO4 because that should’ve been exclusive to Mariposa and the Enclave (at best)

But, enough complaining for me though. What’s your favorite faction

It's funny that 76 managed to fix the lore of the T-60. They changed it that the T-60 are just refurbished T-45s that the army didn't want to go to waste sitting and collecting dust. In the game the T-51 has better protection than the T-60 and most power armors expect in radiation protection. Even that god awful fallout show uses this lore.

It should have been this. When the first trailers were released that's what I thought the T-60 was, but leave it to bethesda to just write random shit.

Ah, so that's why the show treat the T-60 the way it did. When a suit of T-51 shows up, it better fucking mog that gay chest plate exploit.

The settlement system should have just been a streamlined lil location upgrade system like you put in resources for better walls around Sanctuary, or better guard towers/barracks.
Like Assassin's Creed 2's take on Monteriggioni. with like each tier of upgrade having visible improvements in the world space, maybe cool themed stuff from waste raider scrap barriers all the way up to laser-defended hyper Institute alloy walls.

Sounds cool. But, I’d add stuff like your settlements being referenced in dialogue and having more impact to the story. The better the upgrades, the more positive impact it has

The two decent things Bethesda did was A) Make the T45 armour because it looks good, and B) Make the power armour an actual exosuit.
They lost that goodwill pretty quick and then also made the T60 look like a retarded gorilla.
