After beating this, I really can't take anyone seriously who has this in their top 10 or even top 50.

I couldn't even get beyond the tutorial because it didn't tell me how to move. I just stood there, like is this it? A standing simulator?

Max Payne 1 and 2 are in my top 10. Max Payne 3 is in my top 100 and I'm glad I finally played it instead of trashing it from the sidelines.

I played on the hardest difficulty unlocked. Apparently the easiest mode is actually bugged and harder than the hardest mode in the game though if you don't repeatedly die to reduce the rank? DoA gives you double bullet time so it's not actually the hardest difficulty. I don't really know, the difficulty levels are all fucked up because the devs are retards.

Max Payne 3 on Hardcore or Old-School are significantly harder, but also much better balanced and actually well-designed

Look how gay and retarded the game plays on the hardest difficulty. It's literally just standing in one spot pre-firing at enemies while spamming bullet time (since the game gives you 2x). You basically never shoot-dodge at all.

In Max Payne 3 hardcore you have to use shoot-dodge, bulet-time, cover, corner edging, blindfiring, etc. Combat encounters are *significantly* harder.

I think I had the most fun with Max Payne 1, then 3. Fuck if 3 isn't polished as fuck. Just really painful to replay with the cutscene stuff, but I do like its story. Couldn't bring myself to finish MP2. The enemy ragdolling felt less satisfying than the first game. That was honestly half the reason.
