By definition they'll never be the same experience because they will never have the same people working on them under the same circumstances, even the good remakes like God Eater Resurrection will inevitably change some aspects for the worse even if the end product is widely considered to be better.
Then you add the nature of remaking someone else's work to the fact that all the players/viewers of the original have a different interpretation of it and there's absolutely no way you could possibly get people fully on board. To remake something and improve upon it you have to actually understand what makes the original good in the first place.
The only reasons to do a remake are,
>the original actually is fucked up, but you'd still like to tell the same story or recreate that experience better this time>you want money easily from the brand recognition >you want to subvert culture and replace the messages of the previous work with your own in people's consciousThe latter two options are the norm, unfortunately.
