Will I enjoy this game and the first if I know nothing about 40k?

Yeah for sure. My first exposure was Space Marine 1. It's all set dressing for fans to onions out about really, and it's a kick ass game.

I would say play 1 if you have any inclination, this is a sequel. But no big deal.

Yeah but only if you like boring 3rd person shooters. Both games are 3rd person shooters about a guy in power armor killing aliens. The 40k setting is the main reason that people like it though

If the word "chaos" instills a sense of excitement in thee, one is destined to love the carnage inherent in the game questioned.

ye, my friend who knew nothing about 40K as a setting had an amazing time playing it and thought it did a good job making new players give a shit about what was going on.

Melt shotgun and power sword
Everything else is a waste of time. Should've focused on the zerg more instead of le chaos mastermind. Don't know shit about the first nor would I care to play it since all third person shooters are shit.

I really like seeing dudes in armor kill baddie xenos things. So I easily got into it. But I don't think you would like it if you don't like the core concept inherently.

I think you can do just fine with the surface level knowledge the game provides.
>you're a super soldier fighting for a galactic empire
>aliens have come to wreck your shit
>wreck their shit instead
>some piss baby is mad at you for not following the rules hard enough but who cares what he thinks

is the multiplayer worth buying the game for or is it just tacked on shit?

honestly I want to play the multiplayer, but I have not a lot of time.
campaign is pretty straightforward but the player delegates some other stuff to do to other 'squads' off-screen
the extra content is multiplayer with possibly 2 other people as these squads doing the other things, now on-screen
and pvp is okay i guess

Didn't the EYE devs make a 40k game? How is that?

The multiplayer IS the game.

You need to be severely autistic or European to suffer through it.
