>go to this area and find some people singing
>write down what they say while listening to them drone on and on
>then come back and repeat it
Just about the worst sidequest I've ever done and I skipped it with a guide

Kino game though and I first played it in 2018 or something. Another banger from Belgians.

I generally just loved when you could explore and find shit. The worst ones are quests that only appear when you talk to a character.

I had one of these CDs full of demos and I remember playing this game.
It was an open area with a village in the middle. I didn't play much because I was a kid and the aliens scared me

>I didn't play much because I was a kid and the aliens scared me
Same, sort of
>loved cheating in singleplayer games as a kid
>explored every corner I shouldn't be in
>fucked around with godmode
>reach an island
>see a huge enemy
>it kills me
>have nightmares about it
It's so good.

I really feel this game should be considered one of the classic ludo immersive sim style games, nothing else really feels like it, it feels like you are in a star trek episode doing detective work, quests like the one bitched about in the first first post (worst post) is the one of the types of things that made it so kino, a modern game would just have you go talk to him and go back with the information recorded in your log automatically.

Well yeah, a lot of old games just flat out wouldn't hold your hand or tell you if you were going the right way. What you miss is when games didn't treat the player like a moron.
