Remake fags think James brought Mary's body, why? If she died 3 years ago why would he go dig her up just to kill himself

>Remake fags think James brought Mary's body, why?
It's an old, oldass fan-theory, that was practically confirmed by the devs.

> If she died 3 years ago
She didn't. That's a laa-laa narrative James' head created. She's been dead for maybe a few hours, no more than days.

but I know you just wanted to post this sloppy video you found on TikTok.

Masahiro Ito - Mary's body is on the back seat of car

>Where?
Right here.
This was nearly 15 years ago.

SH2's original premise is based on the old, Japanese family murder-suicide practices.

Because people who worked on the game, but not the story itself said things which fans take as cannon now. The real story is that some one on the dev team, most likely the writer, tricked the rest and gave them one story to work off of while hiding another one in all the odd details which make no sense at all but people just handwave away because 'it's a videogame'.

>why does everyone james meet talk so cryptically?
>why do they seem to know more than they're letting on?
>why does james keep running into them even though they're supposed to be on their own therapy session?
>how did laura get to the town and why would she come to silent hill?
>how did james meet eddie in the imaginary prison buried under toluca lake?
>why are there bears everywhere?
>why does the mirror room have a picture of two blond children and a backstory of their father abusing them?
>why does james keep fighting 'angela's monster'?
>where was eddies monster?
>why does james not react at all to the fact that the town is completely deserted?
>why do all the good endings have him go back to the start of the game holding the exact same letter?
>why is everything of significance in the game including the save points associated with the color red?

The answer is obvious if you treat it like a book or movie and not a videogame.

No it's not.
It's a common cultural phenomena. Very often happens in some European nations as well, sans the "muh honor" aspect.

SH is not a shrink tour.
It has no will, no desires. It just projects things out of people's psyche. What THEY desire, fear and hate. Sometimes all at once, sometimes focusing only on one.

Eddie's "monsters" were literally his bullies he gets to kill, over and over again. His town is literally his playground, where he gets to fulfill his revenge fantasies.

I have no idea what you're talking about with "bears".

Rebirth makes no fucking sense if Mary isn't in the car.

>dig her up

Never played the shit remake but original he killed her then put her in the car and his mind broke completely and he came up with the letter delusion

In Water is the canon ending, he drove into Lake Toluca with Mary
The fact that Silent Hill 3 and 4 confirm James and Mary are still missing strongly supports this
If it was Leave ending with Laura or even Mariah ending then it would be assumed he'd return home at some point

Its not really therapy anon, its not like Silent Hill is a benevolent entity but rather just a lovecraftian entity or thing which takes the emotional energy in people and reflects it back towards them like a giant psychic mirror

This is why messed up people like James or Angela see it as a dark empty place with monsters

While Laura just saw it as a normal town

The demake makes it way WORSE,
because they literally adopted the iPhone-era "the town is a purgatory and everyone is dead!!" meme. This is apparent thanks to the numerous "huh, I don't remember this going like this..." moments + those "memories of the past" collectibles they try to mask as funny references.

so how did Maria inherit Mary's affection for Laura anyway
