Why do you STILL buy video games? depending on your age, your time should be spent living LIFE, not sitting down, at home, spending countless hours playing video games. Yes, gaming is a hobby, it's something you to do have fun, escapism from reality. It should be an expansion of your life, not your life, not meant to consume your time. The creators are always the winners, the consumers are always the losers - Valve knows this, Steam sale after Steam sale for you to spend your hard earned money on, deeper in despair and darkness you go under.

Even though there are literally millions of FREE games you can spend your FREE time playing.

Travel, discover new places, the world is full of stories waiting to be experienced. Similar to video games, develop real-life skills, do something fulfilling IN REAL LIFE rather than a video game. Keep your body active, set goals big or small, chase them. Live with purpose, do meaningful shit. Get married, have children, etc.

With all that being said, it doesn't mean DON'T PLAY VIDEO GAMES, you can of course play video games, just don't be a man child and let video games consume your life.

I actually used to be a pirate but now I buy on Steam. The reasons are that I have money, I get a lot of convenience.
And I like to vote with my wallet and support studios which deserve it. Given how much inflation has kicked in during the last half decade but game prices have not moved there is absolutely amazing vidya coming out now for dirt cheap -- devs making good games really need the help right now.
