Developers would have scrambled to make more games for it if there was a larger pool of people who had one
People would have scrambled to buy one if there was games to play on it.

Because Sony themselves pulled an XBONE and killed it to favor PS4. They pulled all first party support and closed down their studios that had projects in the pipeline for it.
