I'm still baffled at how Rockstar made an Online game set in the old west and yet you still cannot rob banks or trains. That should've been there day one but instead all there is to do is grind to get lame businesses which you can then... grind for basically nothing other than clothing and guns.

I don't even know why they released new missions now after 3 years. And Halloween themed at that, during fucking summer. Who cared for Naturalist? Did anybody enjoy going around sedating sheep? Blood Money was set up as this exciting new strand of contracts but it was just... a waste of time that introduced yet another type of currency for no reason. Meanwhile people asked for heists and ranches from Day 1 and not only didn't get that, we didn't even get the end of the main fucking quest with the widow. It just stops. What a disgrace of a multiplayer mode.

By robbing banks i mean a GTA Online styled heist where you and teamates get to keep the money, not a lame telegram mission that probably pays you peanuts.

>use the solo lobby mod for PC to avoid the chinkoids
>lets you wander around the world like the SP minus the actual fun stuff like poker because instances
You could've made a side mode that lets you run through the whole thing with some solo mute and you would still have a decent game on your hands. Waifufags and cowpokes ripping around the world as their OC would've been a lot better than what they actually did with.

Boils down to they tried to make it even more of a money and time sink than GTAO with having a premium currency but they had to also make it farmable as well and the community overwhelmingly farmed or ignored gold instead of buying it.
R* figured out continued support was just a waste of resources so they essentially put it in maintenance mode to be maintained by like a basement full of jeets in india.

It really is disappointing since even with all the improvements they had done since the first rdr online it was still missing so much bullshit from the original that just made everything more fun.

Fully expect they'll do some kind of variation of premium currency again in the next gtao and likely make bank because the GTA has the whales that'll drop thousands for instant gratification that the rdr crowd lacked.

For me it's a bit of sunk cost paired with the updates are usually at least worth looking at.
>played since ps3 at launch
>most the shit I want bought with glitched ps3 cash + heists and other shit over the years
>log in on new update, buy the newest building, do the missions, fuck off
occasionally get on, find some kiddies and proceed to kamazai em with planes

You were meant to be able to do a ton of shit. Buy properties, run multiple operations, rob banks and trains, etc. etc. They just didn't do any of it because the Red Dead community is inherently different to the GTA one where they didn't spend money on shiny gold guns and gaudy outfits like Rockstar hoped. It's why the story mode is also abandoned.

It was enjoyable but progress was slower, every update was tied to gold in someway which takes time to farm up.
Add in
>the horses just weren't as fun or anywhere near as expansive as the rdr1o horses were (no bulls, bison, donkeys, zebra donkey)
>map holds more players but it's also so large you'll never run into them
>no Mexico
>no fort
>nothing like cougar cabin or the hill bears spawned nonstop on
>all online missions amount to nothing, most dont even have a cutscene of any sort
>again map so large you dont encounter multiple posses fighting it out in Armadillo like rdr1

This, there is no real reason to spend gold on anything on anything once you get the camp upgrades. Which is retarded since I can think of a bunch of shit gold could be spent on. Like making that Ned Kelly armor just something the player can wear, or machine gun wagons.

Every single tier 1 and tier 2 bounty hunter outfit and clothing just takes the cake.
I mean the other professions outfits all do in some way or another but you can still get some nice individual clothing pieces out of them, like the moonshiners outfits all had fantastic vests

The game actually is really good, but the grind is a bit annoying, and more importantly, hackers are ruining it on PC but Rockstar doesn't do anything
It's hard to enjoy a game when you can be teleported at any moments or attacked by a giant fat man or even killed during a cutscene by a clone of your character

Don't forget that they nerfed dailes too which hindered progress even more, they also nerfed the collectors shit too because people were making too much money kek.

Nowadays you can infinitely collect a treasure chest by running around in a circle and make hundreds if not thousands of gold that way.

Not really. You have to be in the cowboy roleplay mindset to get long term enjoyment out of it. Story mode is fun co-op missions, telegrams are like radiant sidequests with cooldowns (for some fucking reason), and then the random encounters are just kind of whatever. You really do have to grind to get anything of note.
