Yes, for Halo, i have the MCC installed
for Assassin's Creed, i only have them up to Rogue and they worked fine
Skyrim works.
Doom eternal does.
Both Red Deads do.
The enhanced editions of Metro plus exodus do.
Don't own the other junk.

For most games, I don't need any infomarion other than just the FPS so I use the level 1 performance overlay. Everyone uses level 2, but I'll only use it for more demanding games to see what's going on

Yes, it can play them all, Steam Deck 2 will be able to play more.

The fact the Deck came out in 2022 and still rivals the Switch 2 is insane

my deck oled came in today (upgrading from LCD deck)

Decky is both a blessing and a curse for this thing. So many good things it does when it works correctly, but most of the time they just don't work. I save one 2 minute clip in Replay mode from DeckyRecorder and then it was just refuse to save anything else until you reinstall the plugin.

Steam's own plugins/features are no better

Depends on what you want. I dont play nintenslop so switch 2 isn't even a consideration. Deck is all I really want from a handheld (within reason). Will be nice to see an actual leap in handheld performance though. When that happens I'll buy deck 2. Currently other handheld upgrades just aren't worth it imo
