No, even went taking my Switch in public looking for people to play with but just ignored. However, on my Navy deployment in 2011 I would bring my PSP with MH freedom unite down while waiting hours in line to do personal laundry and since I had a pirated ROM of the game and many other people had PSPs we spread that ROM around and it became an entire social gathering.
