Why do so many hate Gamestop? It was like the last place we could go and enjoy the hobby.

Did anyone else use to hang out at the stores when younger?

I hate GameStop because they have zero respect for physical media. Ironic given their fucking business model.

They simply don't sell sealed copies. They crack open every case, take the game out, then slap a fat sticker on the case and throw it onto a shelf. That sticker is gonna leave residue on the case no matter how carefully you remove it.

They do this because they want to hide the fact they're selling you used games.

Their business model went from regular business to wacky shit, kind of like what radio shack did.

I still hate what they did to my No More Heroes 2 copy. Fucking glue residue, at least it was new.

I remember going to buy stick of truth for the 360 back in 2014 and the annoying salesperson not ringing up my game right away because he kept trying to sell me a strategy guide or merch to go with it, literally arguing with me when I said I didnt want it
Only ever ordered games online to be shipped to my house since then
