Do you enjoy going back to 6th, 7th and 8th gen games?
Do you think 3D games and HD games are as enjoyable as retro experiences as 2D 3rd and 4th gen games were for boomers when they started going back to them in the early 10s? We're mid 20s and it's our generation's turn for nostalgia.

7th and 8th gen was shit and 6th was the last good times. owning a console after 6th was and is completely pointless

I enjoy going back to 6th gen, 7 and 8 only have a few gems.

What's the general consensus on a game like Anarchy Reigns as of now? is it fairly decent, or did it deserve to (kind of) memoryholed?

Honestly only fun when there were still people in the servers, it's not really fun to play against the computers.
Definitely would benefit from a modern remake that increased the scale, there's so many good ideas in this game

6th 7th were the end
peaked hard in the 6th, some serious fucking GEM games in that generation but you could see the microtransaction cancer and live service shart starting to trickle in
it was always there, like pay to play FF11 on ps2 but 6th gen was when it really started to turn into cancer

It was great. Godlike soundtrack, basically every character was awesome, and tons of visual style. I don’t know if it’s possible to play the multiplayer anymore but it was fun as fuck.

Generations 4, 5, and 6 were the absolute peak of gaming.

7th gen, consolidation hits hard, game development becomes more corporate, publishers try for a wider audience. Plenty of good games still existed, but tons of major IPs had their absolute worst or most infamous entries here. Sonic. Ninja Gaiden. Bomberman. Duke Nukem. Diablo. Destroy All Humans. NiGHTS. Halo. Silent Hill. Sly Cooper. Megaman Xover was mobile, is that reaching?

8th gen was a fucking disaster for consoles. Thankfully the indie scene started to get really, really big then.
