Unironically why? Even shit like Dragon Age doesn't get the same intensity of political circlejerking as Fallout.

Especially New Vegas, where I've seen multiple fans argue in complete honesty that the game's orientation traits are a secretly coded message to encourage people to be bisexual. I wish I was joking.

Only a mentally deranged retard could possibly interpret "man is a slave to violence" with "muh capitalism." The entire message of Fallout is that no matter the time, place or conditions, human conflict is inevitable. If the conditions for violence don't exist, man will create it out of boredom.

I don't care if people lean left, I object to them injecting their bullshit into the games. And no, I don't mean having someone that's gay or their being politics. Rather, using the game to preach to the player the "correct" politics.

Arcade Gannon is gay and he was one of my favorite characters. Being gay doesn't define him. He feels like a real person. Mr. House is clearly pro-capitalism and despite that is often regarded as the best ending for the game.

Use politics to get people thinking about things, don't use it to preach to them the view is the correct one. Have characters have the beliefs, and motivations that come with those beliefs. In the case of Obsidian on New Vegas, they did it the correct way.
