I was bored of it when Pandas roam the earth. I didn't even make it to SoO's hilariously long patch cycle. Came back for Shadmans and was reminded why I didn't give a shit anymore

every class became gainer + spender skill
tankadins were never as strong as they were in TBC

Class design getting consistently worse the longer the game went on. It's actually ridiculous that modern WoW has worse class design than a version from 2004 did, and vanilla didn't even have great design. The modern versions of classes are just awful, they have no identity or flavor and they all play exactly the same.

I finally came to terms with the fact that I was addicted, and it was having real repercussions on my habits, my relationships with other people, and my health. I was sick of being unable to have weekend plans for this shit. I was sick of being unable to greet my actual real life family for this shit.

I played from shortly before BC came out until the end of legion. I played horde initially because my brother already played horde but came to like the idea of "monster races trying not to be complete monsters" but mostly played the game to be a big fucking hero.
I cared little for the faction war, it always went nowhere and stayed overall a stalemate, but as long as both sides had their faults I could still feel like a big hero overall.
Then BFA came out and someone rewrote it to twist the conflict into entirely good guys vs bad guys and shat completely over the identities of every race in the horde. Even forsaken who were dark side of the horde already weren't spared
I could no longer really rectify "being a big fucking hero" and playing horde
I occasionally see something that interests me but BFA will always be this looming fuckup

I was the tank and a four person party reported me as a group and then left the dungeon after a wipe, which was caused by them spreading damage to a bunch of different targets instead of killing the marked target. I told them to kill the marked target first, and then they left. I got banned a day later.

I started on 06th december 2005. Made a night elf druid on the first day but I went ahead and made a Dorf Hunter with whom I would play for the next 3 years.
Vanilla, TBC and Wrath.
During TBC I was sort of bullied into changing classes as the Guild had a fuckton of other Huntards in higher positions so I brought up the Druid for higher raiding and Arena PVP.
Wrath was amazing however right in the midst of it retarded guild drama poisoned my MMO experience so hard that any MMO I started I only either kept it solo or with a friend or two.
I don't even remember what that shit was about anymore.
Never gone back to retail.
I coinicidentally started to play turtle hardcore a few weeks ago as I felt an itch to try and scratch.
It's fun.

I flew too close to the Sun and was becoming a top player in the world using rotation bots. Once I joined a leading progression raid my DPS was often topping WoL (when you're one of the first there's less competition and people are just focused on beating the boss not gimmick runs). I also got a good healer for 2v2 at that guild and was crushing it. If you've never used rotation bots you can't imagine how sophisticated they can get, it's not just a single script you have as much control over the bot as you like.
The fear of getting caught and exposed became unbearable. For sure others were doing the same, I still got beat sometimes even with mathematically perfect rotations and gear.

so basically me and this other guild member had a falling out and he decided to split into a new guild over IRL drama i don’t want to go to deep into detail because It contains information that would dox myself.
Also that said guild member is now in PA and now we hate the guild because of him.

I quit for good when they killed PVP servers back in BFA, but it was easily the worst expansion up to that point even including WoD so it was easy to kick the habit for good.

Would've quit during vanilla if not for my fantastic guild and the friends I made.
Quit in WotLK after the guild finally hit raid exhaustion and a lot of core people quit the game in one go. Saw no reason to keep playing, so I quit as well.
Came back for Legion with some buddies, but the timegating, dailies and mythic+ fuckery wore us out in a couple of months.

Nothing could possibly rope me back into Blizzard's WoW anymore, though I might try out classless Ascension one day.

A bug or something literally turned my main character overpowered. It was during Cataclysm and my main character, a human paladin, was so strong he trivialized any quest, pvp and dungeon that I ever participated. I never lost so I became bored and tried playing other characters. Then I just felt annoyed because I didn’t have the bug making me invincible with my other characters. So I just stopped playing and never went back because surely the bug would have been fixed by now.

All I remember is that my human paladin grew to be taller than a Tauren, got buffs and the skull icon from the warrior berserker class and all my stats were triple to quintuple with my cooldowns on my spells being almost inexistant. Tried to ask a cousin who was part of the best guild on the server, and the only thing that came to him was the hammer of the fire elemental raid boss. Though I doubt I looted his hammer since I never got into a raid (since I always joined guilds on the verge of death)

I had better things to do than waste so much time in a game that I could only talk with some nerds on the internet also pvp got a lot worse
