>play cyberpunk on PS4 pro at launch
>it's pretty good
>a few T-poses and LOD issues while driving (I mostly walked around anyway) but no technical issues otherwise
>disappointed by the lack of TW3 like interesting side quests and consequential decisions in the story like what was advertised
>still enjoy it as a story game with a beautiful game world
>go online
>people are screaming it's the worst 0/10 piece of shit game ever
>fast forward a few years
>people are screaming it was fixed and it's the best 11/10 masterpiece ever
>play the game again, this time on a PC that can run it at max settings
>it's basically the same game with some tweaks
>enjoy it less because it lacks the novelty of playing it for the first time
Has there ever been a bigger case of hysteria in gaming than this? Like people didn't want to admit it was actually good because of how bad it's reputation was at launch, they pretended fixing the police system and tweaking the skill tree somehow turned it from the worst game ever made to a masterpiece

I played on vanilla PS4 and it wasn't terrible. I still ended up beating the game, thought it was mid.

>Played it on regular ps4 at launch.
>It crashed roughly every 2 hours, few bugs but never anything like the shit I saw on the internet.
>Every time I had to drive across the map I was afraid it might crash, eventually textures would stop loading which meant crash imminent
>Still loved it
People have fun jumping on the bandwagon.
