For me, it's that I really like the ambient awareness chroma setting, but have it set so that certain keys overide it and are static colors which is useful when I'm watching abime on my tv monitor above my desk. It basically auto-darkens my keyboard except for the keys I specifically use to take screenshots or toggle subs. Problem is that alot of the time when I turn on my pc the ambient stuff doesnt work and it just makes it completely dark
The update to 4 also got rid of every setting I had. Luckily it wasnt a big hassle to get it back to how I want it, but I can see how someone would be upset if they had a dozen different profiles and lighting settings for individual things
