If I buy a game on Steam, the files are located on my computer and are at my complete discretion, the only way it could be better is if they banned the use of additional DRM altogether like GOG.
If I rent shit from Microsoft, then it gets isolated in the Microsoft store cuckbox that I have significantly less administrative control over, despite it being my computer.
