When are they going to optimize this piece of garbage? I need my remake slop.

>More than enough to run modern games
in theory, yes
but devs blatantly lie about the required specs for games
also if you check the Steam notes:
>Playing on recommended requirements should enable to play on Medium quality settings in 60 FPS or High quality settings in 30 FPS, in FullHD (or 4k using DLSS or similar technology). SSD is recommended.
I understand it's optimised like shit though.

Medium setting for a game that's all about atmosphere, visuals and sound negates the whole point of playing it.

Never. It's "good enough" for the AAA publishers, and consolepeasants are already used to 792p FSR'd to "4K", running at 25fps average.

The DEI-make is not worth your time. It's all around shit. Go play the Team-Silent's OG trilogy instead, in real 4K, 120fps if you want. Or keep it at authentic 480p 4:3, 30fps, if that's your cup of tea:

Tank controls are not a problem, little nigger.
Even the RE4 uses them. Heck, RE2 demake still has them.

And if you really hate them for no apparent reason (as in, you cannot spend 5 minutes to learn a new control scheme and play style), then you can literally swap to the janky, uncomfortable 2D control scheme from the options.

No it doesn't

Not in SH1. Thankfully we're getting a remake for that as well.

I played the originals to death. I know the remake is garbage, I even said so in my op post. But I still want to play it because I'm a slop gobbling pig for any remake of classic games.

Try running, little broski.

Good.

Then pirate it, and look up the FSR3.5 mod to enable the rudimentary frame generation.
That's how I got my ooold ass i7-2600 + GTX 1060 to run it at "80 fps", low-medium settings, using Balanced upscaling.

I enjoyed the remake but I already played the OG and wanted a different experience. I also like remake slop like RE2, 3 and 4.

True, but I imagine that's what the consoles are locked to.
I'm really tempted to see if I can get away with running it on my new rig but I haven't finished the first one yet.

>RE2, 3 and 4.
I bought the remake trilogy on sale and I finished 4 last week. For what they were I really enjoyed them and they ran great, played great and looked great.
Not so keen on 7 and 8, or 5 and 6 for that matter. But the OG trilogy is great.

I like games mostly based on their setting. I love the zombie outbreak of 2 and 3, and the Louisiana setting in 7 and the Baker bosses. I wasn't really a fan of 8's werewolves, vampires, and cyborgs, and this is all still in the world of bioterrorism?
RE4 had a similar length as SH2 but I didn't feel like replaying RE4, but I went, and speed ran SH2 and managed to cut my time in half just casually skipping most non-essential rooms.
