Well he’s right about the no replay value thing that much is true. I don’t even hate the “moviegames” but it’s true there is very little reason to revisit these titles

The replay value is in finding all the hidden things. You can finish FFVII without ever getting the knights of the rounds or each characters last limit break or best gear. You can finish MGS without finding all the cool references and specific dialogues, etc.

It's about exploring a narrative rather than exploring a whole world, there's a different appeal to it.
