Thinking your game is a special little snowflake and has to be cooler than just plain old Souls, so you add more fancy combat mechanics that just result in floaty imprecise animations and ice skating, which invalidates the Souls formula and turns your game into basic bitch rollslop where you ignore spacing and roll direction, and just press dodge and attack at the right time.
Also it has to be le hardcore so everything is gonna be overtuned to hell and back.

It might be alright, I'm hoping they put out a demo soon. LoP, Khazan, SB, and AI Limit all had demos that sold me on the games, demos can be really good for action games because it's hard to get a feel for them without hands-on experience.

I'm so tired of soulslike games. I wouldn't mind it if every fucking game company is churning out this shit on the regular. Cool, have a genre, but everything coming out worth a damn seems to follow the "soulslike" formula.
Game companies have no innovation or talent. They find a genre that is popular for example: Extraction Shooters. Then they all do it to death over saturating the market and making these stale.
