No other villain in the entire series had the kind of stage presences the Black Knight had. FE has had plenty of DO NOT ENGAGE enemies but very few of them were literally, actually invincible while apocalyptic shit like

The Path of Radiance black knight and Radiant Dawn black knight are two seperate characters in my mind. In FE9 the BK has one goal in mind to beat his teacher Greil in a fair duel. He even goads Greil to fight him by threatening to murder his son and rape his daughter in front of him. When he doesnt get what he wants he proceeds to harass Ike through the rest of the game to get that fight. In FE10 he is a simp and has a tragic backstory where he was totally a good guy the whole time.

This was never the case. He was happy to support Lehran's plans and never experienced any kind of redemption.

he's crap and overrated, just like Tellius is in general plot-wise.
