In parts I like that they've given up on the pretenses that these games were about real gangsters. Gangsters are in no way heroes. But they fumbled the execution on everything, like AM which also had potential. The game felt like a cash-grab on top of the series' name. The only two good games in the series are console exclusives. Buy an XBOX or download Xenia to play the only good games in the series

It's insultingly bad in many ways. Even the gunplay is bland and boring. I can't think of single thing done better than previous games besides maybe repainting guns.
The worst is the writing. It's a disgrace to the franchise.

Its not the worst game in the world, some of the missions are fun enough. But its INCREDIBLY sterile to the point it just feels awkward. Very little edge to it which is weird because of how far the earlier titles would go without that much issue.
Gameplay is fine, SR game play was always bare bones in general. But yeah a bit more edge would have done a lot for it

I got for free and decided to try it out but I've seen gameplay and let's plays of it and the file size was so unnecessarily bloated I couldn't justify the download time so I never bothered.

Sadly the writing not self aware enough to turn it into a proper genre parody.
Also very barebones gameplay wise. The only positive thing I can say is that the map with the southwestern setting is decent, clearly more effort went into there than in previous games.

i tried to give it a chance but it's just not a good game. the driving is awful, the town is empty, the whole vibe feel soulless.
