There is a spectrum here with Triss and Geralt on one side and Pyra from Xenoblade on the other.

Maybe it would be less egregious of Xenoblade wasn't voice acted by half of the Welsh countryside

I don't have a problem with it has long as it is CONSISTENT. The issue is:
>Protagonist is from a village
>Every random NPC in the village is bri'ish
>His parents are bri'ish
>Protagonist inexplicably has an American accent
I think American accents are fine in fantasy games provided that they just make it so like "Oh, everyone from that city/village has an American accent" and "Everyone from that one is German" and "Those guys are British" etc. Instead it is usually just random british people to pad out the NPCs and Mr. Americano for the lead character.
