It looks like all of the MH games can be emulated and played online

I saw GU being played at 60 FPS on PC with online play, this is impressive

That being said, I want to start a thread where we recompile all of the information on how to play online and we discuss which version is the best to play for online and offline as I can't find that information anywhere

I just googled out of curiosity because i remembered about pretendo
with emulators the website says it supports cemu, but no idea if citra does
I know it works on the original 3ds, since they showed crossplay between JP and NA/EU a few months ago

MH 1, G, & 2 can be played through the MH Oldschool private servers. PSP titles can be played through HunsterVerse private servers. I know nothing about private servers for the Nintendo era of games

Actually, maybe the Nintendo games can be played through Pretendo, but I know nothing beyond that. As for MH1, to specify, it's the Japanese version only.

If you use Citra (3DS) or Ryujinx (Switch), they can "emulate" local play through online connectivity

3U can only be played online on imitation servers if you own a legit WIIU online ID from a orignal WIIU apparently.
