Story writing has been pretty bad in xb3, both the main game and dlc. Im not really hyped for anything from them, but i might give it a chance.

Yeah, the problem is that 3 had like 10 writers, who were all writing their chapters at the same time based off a plot synopsis, which was then cleaned up later to try to "make sense". They need to stop doing that shit. It barely worked for 2 and you can see at what points they had to pivot the story because of an idiot writing one thing and Takahashi writing something else. They should have delayed 3 for a massive rewrite. Their next game needs 2 writers, anything more and you just have an incoherent mess with characters that feel supremely bland because no one writer gets to give them development.

This could be for anything, but if I had to say for one thing, this is the same stuff they listed for X's development. So we might be looking at an X2. How much you want to bet they were going to do something original, but pivoted last moment when they realized that this would be better served as an X sequel.
