Like it's too good to actually be true. The amazing graphics that are still excellent. The unmatched, unrivaled atmosphere of the most gothic gothic that ever gothic'd. The, by far, most complex and heavy-hitting story of any of the Souls games. The truly unique combat that completely subverts everything about the Souls formula. The endlessly haunting score. It's been 10 years, and I still can't stop thinking about this game, as if it's some anomaly in gaming, let alone among modern slop.

It's like one of those cool fake game covers you ask AI to create, but it actually exists.

i platinumed it. but like a normal person, after beating it i moved onto other games. fromdrones are so mazed they just play the same single player linear game over and over for a decade+. its crazy. and people talk about wow fags being mazed, at least wow adds new content every once in awhile. bb has been the same game for like 8 years lol

I played this for the first time recently, on PC.
I enjoyed it, just as I enjoyed any other souls game. But it's not GOTYAY or a masterpiece, just a great game in general.
I rate it a 9/10.

Dark Souls 3 is just a reskinned Blooborne but Bloodborne has more mechanics that promote agressive play.

Didn't sell well, plus From got bought out by Kadokawa during it's development which meant they would be paying their competition if tried to publish a sequel using From.

2016 was also when Playstation HQ moved tp California and they started focusing exclusively on Movie and GASS shit.

Bloodborne feels like it was the last game that was made by their "older" team. Even the way it approaches ambience and atmosphere is different compared to how they handled it in the next entries, it's the last game that featured anything remotely Latria-esque.
