some parts better (cyberspace), some parts worse (recycling). The ending is god awful though, feels like something you'd find in an asset flip, they should have kept the final fight in cyberspace like the original

Great game. Different enough from the original that you essentially have two good versions of SS1 to play instead of one being outright better than the other.
Loved it
Think the OG is alright but I've always preferred 2 so I really appreciate some of the more 2-esque elements they brought over to the remake like the grid inventory and weapon upgrades

Yeah, for real. It’s not perfect, but they nailed the vibe and atmosphere. SHODAN still steals the show, and the updated UI actually makes it way more playable than the original unless you’re super into jank. Definitely worth a run if you’re even mildly into immersive sims.

Is that a list of my items that I can toggle off and on?!!! AIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
I like the original and the remake for different reasons. They're both pretty good, both have flaws and both have reasons to play them over their counterpart.
I'll have some thoughts on it when I get around to playing it, I've been addicted to deep rock galactic again so I've not been touching my singleplayer games.

I liked it a lot and even recommend it to people that want to get into SS1 but it has problems >shitty inferior music, executive and reactor being the only ones that sound like their original counterparts >stupid KS logs (someone please mod these out) that don't say anything important >overacting in those logs >dumb recycling/economy system that obviously came from some attempt to make it feel more like SS2.
People are also mixed on the environments but I mostly like them aside from the bridge not looking like some HR Giger nightmare anymore.
