Probably the best platformer in the last 10 years.

I love the art and sound design in this game. Getting to the credits and collecting all the eggs was a lot of fun. I found a bunch of bunnies but not nearly all of them.
Not to derail too much but I played Environmental Station Alpha a bit after finishing this game and since then I feel like I haven't been able to find games that reach the bar those 2 did. I tried Axiom Verge but it didn't click with me in the first few hours so I didn't continue with it.

I can't stand this game ever since piratesoftware gayed all over it.

Didn't find many secrets, but it was really enjoyable to at least make it to the end and some of the eggs were clever.
I did cave in eventually and looked up some of the ultra secrets and while it's neat, that shit just isn't for me.
Either way, super creative and fun. Glad that it just lets you go places with very few restrictions.

I can never understand people like you. You're saying you had an opinion on the game, but then some faggot voiced his and now you hate it because you were exposed to that opinion?
Makes no fucking sense.

You're right, it's a silly opinion to have. I feel less strong about after reading your post.

Goofy video on the retard (affectionate) that made this game, funny insight on how different animal sounds and whatnot were made.

>I feel like I've seen a music theory breakdown of Animal Well's music
>dev just laughs

I'm interested to see if he'll be making more games. Hopefully something completely different, but as passionately made.

It's great, but I'd sooner categorize it as a puzzle game than a platformer.
Celeste is obviously the best raw platformer in the past decade.

Can you fully complete this game without using a guide? 'm aware there's ARG elements but can you solve that on your own or is it the kind of puzzle that was made with a community in mind?

this game reminded me a lot of fez with the pretentious puzzles but you kids don't hate the dev as much as phil or w.e his name was so it didn't get shit on

It helps that the dev isn't nearly as pretentious.

It's good.
But I wouldn't consider it a pure platformer as that might give the wrong impression.
Its more of a knowledge-based game (a lot of blocks are with 'hidden' capabilities of mechanics) with a platformer focus

My only real criticism is that the line between when the post game ARG starts is real blurry for someone not looking up stuff all the time.
As once you hit that stage there's a clear change in design requiring players to scan the map several times trying different things often without a clear reason as to what to look for.
But at the same time some of the steps are obvious enough you can perform them as a single player.

Which will obviously waste a lot of a single players time when its clearly designed for a community of players to be looking around and communicating.

I super loved the game. But the postgame kind of pissed me off enough that it's difficult for me to look back on the game in a positive light.

You can complete the base game stuff entirely blind. But anything post-game is gonna need a guide.
