Couldn't get through Tunic because brainlet.
Was really enjoying it for some 30 hours though, but got stuck trying to figure out where the fuck to go and what the fuck to do.

Finally getting to fuck the oppai loli despite rejecting her advances for the first 70% of the game.

I really appreciate that this game had a language system that was more complex than "find the cipher hidden in the world" like in Fez or Environmental Station Alpha. Deciphering English is way too easy with enough text and knowing that "E" is the most common letter.

Kind of related, but finding this in Outer Wilds was really fucking exciting to me, even though I think the game would keep it as a note in the log. But, I didn't know that at the time.
I still have my original pen and paper note in my drawer.

>tfw I finally realized that the holy cross wasn't an item or an ingame place
bad thing about games like this is that replaying it is less fun because you know stuff you shouldn't
Just like Outer Wilds

Quite possibly the best eureka moment in all of gaming, every one I’ve talked to about this game has had the same experience of realizing they’re page numbers and flipping through the book to see paths hidden in every page. it’s like a scene out of a movie.

The other time I can remember pulling out pen and paper was for the triangle rule in The Witness but that might be because I’m retarded and drew out every single possible line solution in front of me to try to find a pattern in the ones that worked. I still have the notes somewhere with all of my running theories crossed out and “LMAO it’s actually ______” written underneath.

Shit like this just can't be matched. That feeling when you finally get it is just something so few games can deliver.

I've heard that Americans can't read or write in cursive, is that true?

idk i think autists have specific problems with cursive so you will probably get a badly biased response here

Needed the graph paper pad to decipher the language. Haven't had to use a notepad like that since La-Mulana.

>this is a math puzzle right?
No, the numbers are direct references to something

It's a puzzle, but you are missing the second and third half. Fourth half as well.

oh
what game is it?

Tunic. Plays like classic Zelda with some unfortunate Demon's Souls inspired stuff.
But, the combat isn't really the main draw. If you liked Link's Awakening and really like kinda obscure puzzles, I'd say give it a shot.
If nothing else, the music is very nice.

Tunic. You can't solve this puzzle without context from the game.

I had a bunch of pen and paper notes for Blue Prince until I finally rage quit that game because it's a bunch of RNG dogshit

No, that's an incorrect assumption that most people make at first glance. You need to play the game to solve it.

Couldn't get through Tunic because of the shit gameplay. Is the ending metagame shit really worth it?

No, you'll find backtracking to find and solve all the puzzles and secrets you missed extremely tedious.
