Sonic and Shadow's fight in the jungle was a tie as it was interrupted. I'd say both were evenly matched there.

On the Ark, Sonic absolutely annihilates Shadow. He humors him for a bit and then dusts him, reaching the cannon and destroying it. Shadow kind of lets that happen though since he doesn't give a fuck about Eggman. He knows the doomsday program will activate all according to plan once the emeralds are put in.

And no the cannon being destroyed doesn't impact future stories as SA2 is the last Sonic game.

It was a tie.
If Sonic won, the ARK's cannon is destroyed.
If Shadow won, he absolutely would have killed Sonic.
None of these happen in Last Story. Therefore, it's a tie.

Shadow would have stomped. I personally think that Sonic is ridiculously more powerful in all stats but is usually messing around at a comprehensible level. Shadow is going all out at all times (no time to play games), and at that level, could fuck over unserious Sonic with his abilities pretty quick.

Sonic took the jungle conflict a bit more seriously after seeing that Shadow could be a threat, but the Ark fight was during do-or-die time and he was in full serious mode.

Both the Hero and Dark stories are canon. Sonic and Tails both won their rematches.

Sonic. The cope about the cannon firing in ShTH is irrelevant because repairs would have been done anyway after Final Hazard fused itself to the Ark. Any damage Sonic could have done from the outside is less than what would be done by having a giant lizard either fuse with the metal or shove it directly up its asshole

Depends on what you mean by win since Shadow just needs to stall for time until the forces chasing both of them converge and Sonic can’t just warp away
