Honestly the goofy moments don't bug me as much as the serious moments in Kojima games mainly because when he's trying to write serious shit it just comes off as absurd and laughable. Case in point the whole shit in MGS2 where it's revealed Otacon's crippled dad killed himself by rolling his electric wheelchair into their pool after witnessing Otacon bang his new stepmom. You'd have to be retarded to think players would get all emotional and shit over that instead of just laughing at the mental image of a fucking crippled cuck slowly rolling his way over to a pool and tipping over into after seeing his son fuck the every living shit out of his new wife.
He'd be better off hiring writers who know what the fuck they're doing to handle most of the writing while keeping his involvement with the games strictly to writing the occasional goofy section.
