Hello, I've been an active player of gacha games for almost 3 years.

Recently, a friend gifted me this game called binding of isaac.

After I had finished a few runs with the base character, I decided to pull for some chars like maggy that i saw on youtube . I didn't found the gacha banners on the main page, so I just clicked on the character selection button and see when will I unlock it.

APPARENTLY.......YOU CAN JUST UNLOCK CHARACTERS, BY JUST PLAYING THE GAME? What the actual fuck????

In comparison, it would take me at least a month of grinding or about 20 bucks to even get a 50/50 CHANCE to pull a single character I want in a gacha game....wdyfm you could just.....buy the fucking heroes?

Last time i saw a game as half as generous it was dragolia lost and that shit tanked to oblivion and shut down in like , 3 months after its release....

How the fuck do they function as a business? This way they gets like 0 revenue. Isn't this game like as old as arknights and still have regular updates and events? How do they sustain themselves?????

Just get the latest Repentance (no plus), get Repentogon and browse Skymods for whatever Isaac mod you want and the experience is virtually identical to playing the game legit except for the dopamine hit of le steam achievements

They're not. I've played Arknights. First of all, the guy is shit at math and/or planning. 40 pulls a month? If you're GRINDING you should be doing better. Secondly, getting "new" characters is barely a fucking concern. You don't want more just to have more. You should be paying attention to what would make certain stages or enemy types easier. If you've already got a caster that melts anything remotely lacking Res, think twice about pulling on a banner that features three casters. It's not a race to "unlock" everyone. And thirdly, I have yet to find a material I don't accumulate while barely thinking about it. I only raise units when I have enough to make someone usable right away, too.

i was grifted by a friend into trying a gachashit because "omg open world you can explore, there's a good game underneath all that gacha i swear" but when i saw the amount of content i was locked out of simply because i didn't spend thousands of dollars (because the game obviously doesn't give you a fraction of the currency for free) rolling for repeat units i just uninstalled the game instead of opening my wallet. this is how reasonable, thinking people react to being told you need to spend hundreds of dollars upping the numbers of some poorly animated pixels.

Genshin Impact and other mihoyo games give you about 15 rolls per month and the chances for a 5-Star is 0.6%, increasing up to 1.6% after about 70 rolls, but you can only guarantee a 5-Star character after 90 rolls, and even then, the chance for you to get the specific Banner character is 50/50, or 0.3% in practical terms (or 0.8% with Pity). So it takes about 5-6 months.
Blue Archive gives you about 100 pulls every month, the base chances for a 3-Star character is 3% (except during anniversaries where it's 6%), however the banner character only comprises 0.7% of that 3/6%. But for every roll you get a recruitment point, and you can get that banner character for 200 points. So about two months.
I'm not familiar with Persona 5: The Phantom X, but a fren told me it takes a little more than a month.

Limbus Company, accounting solely for the actual "grind" mode, gives you enough resources to select a new character every 25 days or so. That's not counting dailies or anything. Accruing pull currency is even easier, and both the rarest types of pull are over 1% odds, though there's no boost as you go and pity is at 200.
