What is The Room of video games?

>>715049394 Lmao classic. Nothing captures that same "how the hell did this get made" energy quite like that game. Still better than most AAA crap today desu.
Dogshit Kojima garbage, your pick.
I think there's nothing quite like it in vidya form due to the way the medium works
The Room is interesting since its a complete clusterfuck that is so amateruishly put together it loops around to being endearing, in no small part due to being 100% sincere. It tries so earnestly to be a drama but Tommy is so completely out of touch on what basic human interactions looks like that every single scene and line comes off as if written and directed by an alien. Chronological errors, baffling line reads, plot lines that are introduced and dropped for no reason - All of these things coalesce into a genuinely entertaining film albeit for all the wrong reasons
The closest vidya equivalent I can think of would be Sonic 06 - It has the earnestness in its story and writing despite being completely fucking retarded, it looks completely amateurish despite having a ton of money poured into it (A comparision that is only highlighted by the lavish CGI sequences before it snaps you back to the actual levels) and gameplay so borderline broken it results in unintentional comedy 90% of the time
>>715050309The weird thing about The Room is that it looks kind of good. Like a real movie. Because it was shot by competent people. Sonic 06 is just filled with bugs and looks like ass.

A cinema near me showed The Room a few weeks ago and Greg Sestero was there as a special guest. He autographed a football that I'd brought. Dude was pretty cool, asked him a few questions about the film - Appearantly some of Dennys lines were originally meant for Mark, but Tommy changed them around for some reason.
>>715051345Did he say when The Room Returns is coming out?
Silent Hill 4 The Room, even the playable character has the acting range of Tommy Wiseau
>>715051421IIRC another audience member asked and he claimed it should be within a year but didn't give a specific date; The film is done, but there's some rights fuckery going on that needs to be sorted
>>715051170This is probably the best answer, most of the games mentioned itt are just straight up horrible to play but LOTL is a point and click so you don't have to suffer horrible gameplay to get to the unintentional comedy gold
>>715051170Thanks for this anon, this looks incredible
>>715051170>Every few months the ending theme pops into my head.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKgwy5OIWpo
>>715053604What is this kino? I kind of want to play this now.
>>715049373 (OP)David Cage games. Fahrenheit is my favorite.
>>715051345Denny's actor lives in my city (Phoenix) and had a booth every year at Comicon there, even making comics based on the movie. Very cool dude.
>>715050309>ELIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISE!Yeah, this one. It's got all the same problems as the Room, even down to the completely inhuman understanding of human social dynamics and romance
Hack and Slash Fury, played with the English voice acting options on.
