unlike fromsoft games it actually runs well on pc
it's kind of derrivative but got enough going on that i didnt mind
the last third of the game has much less interesting encounters and environments (i played it before the dlc released)

all in all a good product, you will enjoy it if you like the genre probably, i rate it a decent 7/10

It's the best Soulslike that's not from From. The only two things I didn't like is that it's very linear with very few, if any, optional areas and how some enemies have very delayed attacks to catch you off guard. I like how you can customize your weapons and how the sidequests are not cryptic. It's a solid 8/10 game.

This. So it's better than Elden Ring or Demon's Souls or DS2 but not as good as DS1, DS3 or Bloodborne. I enjoyed the setting and the music a lot. Some of the bosses like Victor, Laxasia and the Black Rabbit gang are memorable.

It's a bit more story driven/linear but otherwise its great. Great music great aesthetic fun combat and tools. Fun world building with there being a deeper sub plot that will tie in their future games (wizard of oz next) together if you're into that kind of thing.

Don't listen faggots saying it is easier than Bloodborne. Blooborne, especially bosses, easier than LoP.

Game is linear but it can be a good thing. I'm nearing my mid-thirties now and as I age I find that non-linear and open world games are waste of time and boring as fuck. This is why I don't plan to finish ER.

Story, setting and music are good. While you can understand the story without looking at items, doing it enhances the experience.

Parrysloppa, shit rolling, it is nothing like Bloodborne.

For some of the bosses, at least the hardest ones(especially the DLC bosses) you'll need to master parrying their attacks, because they have unblockables.

haven't played the DLC yet but as far as I remember there was always option for parries using simple spacing techniques. parry is obviously powerful but it works in sync with your other abilities. I can see why rollslop connoisseurs would get filtered though.

If you really want to win, you're expected to parry the bosses, and once you master parrying a boss, you'll realize it disregards the need to even move around, as opposed to Bloodborne where moving around and spacing via weapon trick attacks and such is the game.

ER's open world isn't really a Ubisoft style checklist zone, you can effectively beeline from location to location and there's actual content with mini dungeons and treasure to find instead of climbing towers.
There's not even any kind of progress bar or anything that forces you to collect 200 shingledingles to get a bingus bongus.

If you go back and just play without trying to 100% the zones you'll have so much more fun, believe me.

There are a lot of attacks that give you a worse punish if you wait to parry them instead of spacing them out or strafing them to start your punishment earlier
