After googling I realized that the current Normal difficulty used to be an Easy difficulty, and Normal is now Expert.
Well there's no way I'm gonna start the entire game again from the start I guess I'll just finish on the new "Normal"

it's definitely more inspired by Nioh than by Dark Souls (although it's simpler and more streamlined than Nioh) so probably yeah. It even has bootleg kodamas. The combat is solid and satisfying, everything else about the game is middling but the action is the most important part so it's worth playing imo

It's good and I'm having lots of fun on new Normal difficulty.
I still die from time to time if I'm being reckless or greedy, but it's fun.
Dying 30 time to the boss fight because you make a mistake or two is just boring and time consuming so fuck it.

There is less depth but the gear is way more meaningful and easier to minmax. Especially after the big balance update where they massively buffed pretty much every single set and removed all the shit bonuses.
