>>715063883the encounters in ZZZ have gotten hard enough to the point where there are boss-specific optimizations. shiyu still lets you use some bnbs, but a newer endgame mode called deadly assault has boss mechanics you need to juggle or engage with in order to score past the cutoffs. an easy example is how if you're running Zhu Yuan in one of these instances with the ballet twins, you actually don't really want to off-field her with a 1.0-style mindset because you miss out on a lot of bonuses for damaging the clone.
1.4 introduced ults for everyone on the team and a complex energy regen rework for off-fielders and anomaly users. oftentimes, a lot of your rotations are constrained by
1) staggering anomalies and disorder procs so you don't double up before anomaly resets
2) cycling your team for buffs and energy
3) resolving boss mechanics
4) holding your ults for specific parts of the fight
5) ordering your chain attacks correctly or cancelling them at the right moment
they've also added offscreen followups, EX parries, more opportunities for mini-ults (enhanced assists), characters with like 3 resource bars, and now two characters with unique types (frost, which is spicy ice, and auric ink, which is spicy ether with true damage / def pen)
So yes, it's not got the average execution requirements of the highest floors of Bloody Palace (though they added Bloody Palace too, where they eventually take off all the flashing indicators), but it's not trivial. it's a very good casual character action game because it's fun, inviting, and has the gacha mechanics while still actually being a character action game.
