1080p is entirely inadequate, hate how boxy lines looks on it even at 24 inches.

The power required for 4k though is just too expensive still and although 1080p is factor of 4k, it's not realistic to downscale on a 27+ inch monitor.


1440p 27" is the best option ATM, even basic bitch GPUs can more than support it.

The average mid range PC can also fake frame to 4k at 30 FPS. Nobody wants that, though.

Unless your monitor or TV is fucking massive there's not incentive to go higher than 1080p
