Why is Nintendoโ€™s online infrastructure so shoddy? Switch 2โ€™s have the same connectivity issues as the Wii, REALLY??

its the same with all online infrastructures. the only difference is that when an error occurs with nintendo, they show it because they are honest people

Part of it is also that the majority of the playerbase is children and teenagers who don't have reliable internet and don't know how to configure it.

Japan is "Works on my machine": the country. If it works in their small country with lightning fast internet, then there's no reason to update their online infrastructure.

Itd probably help if players weren't on wifi being provided by a cheap Chinese router.
Nintendo tests their stuff for the Japanese: that means they expect people to be using public transportation, walking, and having home internet equipment from this century.

my wifi has randomly dropped out twice for no reason while playing splatoon 3. i used to think it was people rage quitting until it happened to me, it seems to be way worse on the switch 2 every 5th match someones net drops out. i think they use an extremely cheap wifi chip

the craziest part is that nintendo recommends opening almost EVERY PORT on your router to improve stability, im not even joking
>Within the port range, enter the starting port and the ending port to forward. For the Nintendo Switch 2 console, this is port 1024 through 65535.

Nintendos networking is from last century, my router is fine I use a Flint 2 yet my connection still cuts out sometimes on the S2 and downloads take forever. None of my other devices have ever had any dropouts
