Something like a mix between OG Monkey Island's charm, Disco Elysium's writing, and a Souls-like atmosphere. Give me bizarre puzzles, branching dialogue that actually matters, a hauntingly beautiful world to explore, and zero handholding. Inventory junk that somehow turns out useful 8 hours later, NPCs with weird personal quests, and a strong sense of mystery tying it together. Also, no quest markers. If I have to use my brain and maybe even a notebook, I'm in.
