The catfolk really were a complete waste of dev time. They don't play any differently, being one doesn't change your starting location, they don't have a branching path for MQ. Literally what is the point in them being there? They should've stayed cut like in the first game.

I remember when people were incredibly insistent that DD2 would be announced at TGS and then it wasn't. Would love to be wrong about it but I'm betting it's all hands on deck to "fix" Monster Hunter Wilds and at best DD3 is earmarked for 2028 or beyond with either zero or canceled plans for DD2 DLC.

Doesn't matter what you or I want, Capcom has a schedule where they have a big name release at least once a year and right now it's looking like 2026 = RE9 and 2027 = maybe a new DMC unless I'm forgetting another flagship title that isn't DD. It seems a bit too early for a new SF since it's been on around a 8 year cycle but if they're motivated enough I could see SF7 in 2028 while DD gets pushed to 2029 or further.

yeah that definitely could be a monkeywrench that causes everything to either get pushed back or fall apart
