Do you guys buy figurines or toys based on games you play?
I like to collect Amiibos when I can for games I'm interested in. Surprised they still do them to this day.

Yeah, a few. I got a Wario plushie, a little Kamek figurine and a DK amiibo but they're easy to miss when you see my apartment. They're my favorite Mario characters but I think I'll leave it there, just keep it subtle.

I also got a Shovel Knight amiibo and a custom made plushie based on a design I made for an indie game I worked on, although that's more for inspiration. Like, hey, let's go kick some ass with games. If Yacht Club can make some nice dough off it, maybe I can too one day. Probably won't but it's nice to dream.

I have a bunch in boxes and a bunch out of boxes. Most of my Zelda ones are out of box because I used them in BOTW, since they were given by my ex she pushed me to open them. They dont seem to gain value right now anyway, so I dont really care. They look good in the box though.
I have the new four Zelda ones, but I do not plan getting the Street Fighter ones unless they drop in price, 15$ premium is crazy.

Not really, just collecting for the moment. I like their design. Plus it's like DLC in a figurine.
But I do think they will gain in value in 10-20 years, but not collecting for that purpose. I test 3D printed a Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo too. Came out pretty good, would need to print it, and put a RFID Zelda tag in the base.

DKBananza does unlock a costume, but I think the costume is already in the game for stuff. Also, only one costume, they could have made a Diddy costume for Pauline, or Samus costume and ect. Would have been neat to have a costume for the main franchise. Carrying a little Olimar disguised Pauline with DK would be cool.

Yeah, it's a shame. They had a lot of potential at the start. Now they mostly just unlock stuff already available in games, just early. Even prime games like Echoes only has unlocks for costumes already in game.

I mostly collect plushies. SMT plushies, Dragon Quest plushes, Postal plushies, Kirby plushies make up the bulk of them. I did buy a figurine of DQ3's hero though and I love it, as well as some amiibos but I've downsized a lot on those. I've also got some little Jack Frost gachapon toys hanging out on my desk, and a sick M. Bison figure a buddy sent me in the mail. Can't wait til that line releases an Akuma figure later this year.
I've always wondered, are there any Ys figures? I'd love to have an Adol and/or Dogi on my desk.

I own some figmas based on stuff I liked, like Cyberpunk and Blue Archive. Unfortunately missed the Yuuka figma. Her gun is based on one of my favorites so that was disappointing. Still need to actually set up my Kazusa, too. She's been sitting in the box on my dresser since she got here.
